By integrating the Kudos® platform with BambooHR, employees can be imported directly from your HRIS to simplify user provisioning and administration! This eliminates the need to manually input employee information.
- Active Kudos® platform subscription
- Admin or Super Admin privileges in Kudos
- Active BambooHR account
In this article:
An Administrator of your Kudos® platform must log in and navigate to the Integrations settings under Gear Icon > Account > Integrations. Click Connect on the BambooHR integration tile.
Next, enter your company's unique domain: "companyname".bamboohr.com and click Connect to BambooHR. Just the subdomain and not the entire URL are required.
You will be redirected to your BambooHR login page. Enter your BambooHR login credentials to authorize the integration. You will then see an API key set on your Kudos integrations page, meaning the two systems are now integrated.
User Provisioning through the BambooHR Integration
This integration is a one-way sync of employee information, from BambooHR to Kudos®. This maintains all employee information entered in BambooHR as the system of record. Any changes made to this information will be synced in Kudos® either automatically or when you initiate a data sync, depending on your settings. On the first user import, the integration will match on email; after that, users will be assigned their own unique ID (ie: bamboo_765) that is managed to connect users.
The integration will pull all active users from BambooHR. At this time, the integration does not allow for selective user sync. New users will be added and terminated users will be marked as archived in Kudos® upon sync. The Kudos® platform syncs the following user information from BambooHR:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Employee Number
- Work Phone Number
- Start Date
- Birth Date
To manage your staff, click on Pull BambooHR Users Now. To ensure that user data is always up to date, select the option to automatically sync BambooHR users every.
You will receive an email once the sync is complete. The email will look something like this and will provide a confirmation of:
- New Users Added
- Supervisors Created
- Users Updated
- Users Archived
- Users Re-Activated
New users will still need to be invited to join your Kudos® system unless you have automatic invitations turned on in your Kudos settings. More information on inviting users can be found here: Inviting Users to Kudos®.
