You can enable the Kudos® add-in for Outlook across your organization quickly using the Microsoft AppSource. To do this, go to the Kudos® for Outlook Add-in page.
The Kudos® Outlook Add-in is supported on the following versions of Outlook:
- Exchange Online & on-premises: 2016, 2019
- Windows: MS 365 Subscription, 2019
- Mac: MS 365, 2019, 2016
- Web Browser: Exchange Online, MS 365, Outlook.com
The Kudos® Outlook Add-in is not available on Outlook's mobile app.
Click the blue "GET IT NOW" button below the Kudos® logo to begin the setup process.
If you are not already logged in, you will be asked to provide your Microsoft credentials. Please ensure that you are logged in with an administrator account for your Microsoft services.
Once you have logged in, you will see a modal window verifying the email address you are using, and asking you to confirm your consent to the terms of use and privacy policy by clicking "Continue."
After a brief moment, you will be taken into the admin section of your Office account where you will complete the installation process for your company. Click the blue "Next" button to proceed with installation.
You will be presented with two sets of options related to the installation of this add-on. First, you must decide to whom you want to enable access to Kudos® for Outlook. There are two options:
All Users (Recommended) - This option will apply the add-on installation to all users in your Office account.
Specific Users/Groups - This option will only apply the add-on installation to users that you have specified.
Just Me - This option will only apply the add-on installation your individual account.
Next, you will select the deployment method. You will select the type of installation permissions that are best suited for your organization. There are three options:
Fixed (Default) - This option installs the Kudos® for Outlook add-on on all selected users' accounts. Users cannot uninstall the add-on.
Available - This option does not install the Kudos® for Outlook add-on, but allows selected users in your organization to install the add-on from the AppSource.
Optional - This option installs the Kudos® for Outlook add-on on all selected users' accounts. Users can uninstall the add-on if they wish.
Once you have selected the options that are best suited to your organization, click "Deploy." The page will indicate that it is installing your add-in. Once it has finished, you will see a confirmation that the add-in has been deployed. Note that it may take up to 12 hours for the add-in to be displayed on users' ribbons. Users may also need to relaunch Office.
Click "Next." You will be presented with a final screen, indicating the completion of the entire installation process!
[Update]
Do to a recent Microsoft update to tokens used for authentication on Outlook integrations, a few additional steps will be required to complete/update the integration configuration process. More specifically, the Redirect URL's under Single-page application must be updated.
From your Microsoft Entra Admin Center open the App Registrations > All Applications and search for Kudos for Outlook click on Redirect URLs. Select Add Platform > Single-page application. Add both URLs listed below and Save your configuration.
