This article will help you troubleshoot when a recognition message won't send on your Kudos® account on the web.
A fully completed recognition message includes:
- At least one recipient
- A level of recognition
- A message
- At least one quality
If any of the above fields are not completed, your message will not send. Below, we will detail the three most common reasons a message won't send and how to fix it.
Recipient Field
If the recipient field is outlined in red, you will need to remove the text and re-enter the recipient's name.
As you begin typing, a list of users will populate. It is important to click on the intended recipient's name so that they are filled into the Give Form. A properly selected recipient will show like this:
Level of Recognition
If there is a red outline around Select a level, you will need to click on a level of recognition to select it before your message can be sent. Select the level of recognition you’d like to give (TY: Thank You 5 pts, GJ: Good Job 10 pts, IM: Impressive 20 pts, EX: Exceptional 50 pts). The Give Bar displays escalating levels of recognition, from appreciation moments (Thank You) to performance-oriented moments (Good Job, Impressive, or Exceptional). A properly selected recognition level will look like this:
Qualities
If there is a red outline around Select qualities, you will need to click on at least one quality to select it before sending your recognition message. You can select as many qualities as you feel apply to your recognition message. Properly selected qualities will look like this:
