Only a percentage of your Points to Give can be sent to the same person in a 30 day period. The system will send the recognition message with no points if you try to send a percentage of your Points to Give to the same user in the same month. We call this the Too Much Love rule, and it exists to keep your Kudos® platform fair.
If you are trying to send an Award or are a manager who needs to override the Too Much Love rule, we encourage you to reach out to your HR Team or your Kudos® Administrator to have them enable "Unlimited Sent Points" for you.
The chart below shows an example of the percentage of points you can send to one individual depending on your points allocation:
Allocation | Max Points* | % of Allocation |
20 | 20 | 100% |
50 | 50 | 100% |
100 | 50 | 50% |
120 | 58 | 48% |
150 | 70 | 47% |
200 | 90 | 45% |
300 | 130 | 43% |
500 | 210 | 42% |
1000 | 410 | 41% |
2000 | 810 | 41% |
3000 | 1210 | 40% |
5000 | 2010 | 40% |
6000 | 2410 | 40% |
*If Allocation is greater than 50 but less than 100, users can send a maximum of 50 Points. For Allocations over 100, Max Points can be calculated by using the formula: MAX = 50 + ((Allocation - 100) / 50) * 20
