Recognition Assistant overview
At Kudos, we envision a workplace culture where gratitude flows effortlessly, and meaningful recognition is a cornerstone of every team's success. Through a user-friendly interface and leveraging the power of generative AI, our Recognition Assistant stands at the forefront of this vision, removing time constraints and writing abilities as barriers to giving regular, meaningful recognition.
The feature is enabled by default, however, Kudos Administrators can disable it via the Customize tab, in the Admin menu:
When enabled for your organization, a button that reads “Refine message with AI” will appear below the message field at all times for all employees, when sending Recognition, Awards or General Messages.
The button will be inactive until a recipient and a message are added, at which point the button will become active. Clicking “Refine Message with AI” will prompt the Recognition Assistant to return a refined version of the original recognition message. You can then send the refined message as is, edit the wording, add emojis or a GIF to personalize it further, or click “Restore original message” to revert back to the original message you provided.

Data Security
Our Recognition Assistant uses various AI models to provide optimal recognition outputs, powered by Kudos’ 10+ years of recognition experience and expertise. Rest assured, your personal and organizational data is secure and isn’t used for AI training purposes. No personal or PII data is shared with the AI, only the content of the original message provided by the user. This means the AI models used for the Recognition Assistant focus solely on generating high-quality recognition messages without compromising user privacy. Messages refined by the Recognition Assistant are subject to our existing data processing policies, which can be found in our Data Processing Agreement.
How to get the best results
When using text-generative AI, the quality of the input directly defines the quality of the output so details make all the difference. It’s also important to remember that the Recognition Assistant’s role is to help create your recognition message; the suggested text should always be reviewed before sending. Here are some best practices to ensure you get the best results when using the Recognition Assistant:
Include the Recipient’s Name: Including the name of the person you are recognizing ensures the utmost personalization and gives the Recognition Assistant clarity on the recipient’s identity so for best results, be sure to include their name in your original message.
Provide Clear Input: Articulate as clearly as possible the specific achievement, behaviour, or action you want to recognize. The more precise your input, the better the Recognition Assistant can generate a tailored and relevant recognition message.
Use Descriptive Language: Don’t hesitate to use descriptive language when explaining the accomplishment or behaviour. This helps the Recognition Assistant understand the context and generate a more nuanced and personalized message.
Include Context and Impact: Provide additional context about why the recognized achievement is significant. Explain the impact it had on the team, project, or organization. This context enables the Recognition Assistant to craft a more detailed and meaningful message.
Customize the Message: Take advantage of customization options to add a personal touch to the AI-generated message. Adjust the tone or wording, add emojis or a GIF to match your own communication style and the preferences of the recipient.
Edit and Refine: Don't hesitate to edit and refine the AI-generated message. While the Recognition Assistant can provide a great starting point, your personal touch and insights will enhance the overall quality of the recognition message.
